Western Africa: Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola
Eastern Africa: Tanzania and Zambia
Southern Africa: occurs only in South Africa

Taxonomy

The scientific name is sometimes spelled fuelleborni.

Subspecies

There are 2 subspecies[1]

  • M. f. fuelleborni:
  • Grasslands and brachystegia woodlands of extreme southern Tanzania
  • M. f. ascensi:
  • Grasslands and brachystegia woodlands of central Africa
