South America: found in western Amazonian Brazil (south-western Amazonas)

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species1.

Was formerly placed in genus Thryothorus like all other species of the genus Cantorchilus.

Habitat

Brushy undergrowth.

Behaviour

Diet

There is no information currently available. They are usually seen in pairs or family parties.
