(Redirected from Hemirhynchus)

Genus: Hemirhynchus

Description

This genus would contain two species:

They resemble in plumage the Great Parrotbill and their voices also differ from other parrotbills.

Taxonomy

Hemirhynchus is a genus in the Family Paradoxornithidae. It was formerly placed in Sylviidae.
This genus is not yet accepted by most World Lists and is usually merged with Paradoxornis. Gill and Donsker suggest the name Cholornis.
It was originally named Heteromorpha by Hodgson, but this name was preoccupied.
