Similar but with upperside greyish brown and pale eye-ring
Distribution
Meratus Mountains, South Kalimantan, southeastern Borneo.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Recently described species (2022).
Habitat
Montane forests at 900-1300 m asl. Found in shaded spots of undergrowth to lower storey of the forest.
Behaviour
Usually found singly or in pairs.
Vocalisation
A deliberate song of 3-7 notes.
