[edit] Conservation Status

This bird was almost eliminated by damage caused during World War II. Surveys conducted from 1976-1979 found the flycatcher to be one of the more common birds in the Palau forests and the species was delisted in 1985. They have returned to near original abundances and are not faced with any foreseeable threats.
