- Grey face
- Brown crown, nape and upperparts
- Long crown feathers form a crest
- Yellowish underparts
Distribution
Asia: China
Southeast Asia: Indochina, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand

There are 7 subspecies[1]: A. p. griseiceps:
- Pegu Yoma Mountains (Myanmar)
A. p. robinsoni:
- South Myanmar (Amherst District of Tenasserim)
A. p. henrici:
A. p. pallidus:
- Hainan (southern China)
A. p. isani:
- North West part of eastern plateau of Thailand
A. p. annamensis:
- Central Indochina
A. p. khmerensis:
Habitat
Broadleaf, evergreen forests. Also more open woodland in the lowlands and foothills.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists mostly of berries and very occasionally nectar. They also eat some insects such as cicadas.
