I can't see this binocular costing less than $ 5000, very cool stuff though. Dave

Biggest WOW binoculars you have ever looked through?

Sorry for the late response. Adorama was dumping them for $900, a few years ago, and I had to pull the trigger. On a different note I thought this thread was for the largest binocular that I have looked through. No, its the most wow. In that case I must say it is the SV 12x50. Dave

    Review of NIkon HG "Sample"

I did notice, but I must have had a brain fart. $ 700 US + shipping. This is starting to sound too cheap. Dave

    Review of NIkon HG "Sample"

If you order it from outside the the EU, as you are, they will not charge you that stupid VAT. For about $ 1000 US dollars this does sound like the best deal, until they start selling on this side of the pond. Dave

    I would want a 12x50, or even a 15x56 version. Dave

    Nikon Monarch HG 8x42

I think I will get the 10x42 version, as it has a more useful exit pupil. Thanks for the review. Dave

    A Quick Tale.

Cool stuff. I have to agree, it is hard to not like the El series. The EL 12x50 is my preference. Dave

    Well I got a Meopta 10x42 HD

Holy cow, this is a great binocular. I have done only some brief tests, and so far it exceeds my expectations. It does have some pincushion, but no ca. Perhaps in the last few percent. I could see none on Vega anywhere in the field of view. I hope to test with brighter stars later this week...

    Optolyth Royal Binoculars 15x63

Thanks for that, though I do want the new SLC 15x56 when it comes out in January. I need something to hold me over until then. I have been thinking of getting Zeiss 10x56 Victory T* FL , as it would have a larger field of view and complement the new SLC. Thanks Dave

    Optolyth Royal Binoculars 15x63

I have looked for a review of this everywhere, and no luck. Does anybody know if this is a good binocular for about $ 1300. My budget is higher, but this may be a good buy. Thanks Dave

    New Swarovski 15x56 SLC

In my case I have had Nikon 7x50 Prostar, and 18x70 Astroluxe. In the past week I had a chance to look through Swarovski 12x50 EL Swarovision. It was the best view through a binocular I have ever had. I really look forward to tiis newer version 15x56. Dave

Vanguard Endeavor HD 82A First Impressions

Well I got my 82a yesterday and must say it is a keeper. I only got to play with it for 1/2 hour or so, but it is far more scope that I thought I could get for this little money. Dave

Vanguard Endeavor HD 82A First Impressions

I managed to score one of these. I hope I get a good one. I will machine a astronomy eyepiece adaptor, and try to see how well they work on this scope. Thanks Dave
