    Who's building a nest in this large nest box?

    Sparrow-sized bird with black accents

    Northern suburban New Jersey, August 4, 2018. Perhaps because of the heavy rain, this bird was "bunched up". It briefly appeared and then flew off. Black accents made it stand out from the usual house sparrows and house finches. The accents might be bluish-black.

    This mourning dove has a strikingly different tail; in appearance and coloration it appears to be a white-winged.
