American Tree or Chipping Sparrow? (1 Viewer)

Spotted on 27 April 2018 in Northern New Jersey. Tawny (brown) head; stripe through the eye; no markings on the breast; one whitish wing bar; black area on head above bill. American Tree Sparrow? Chipping Sparrow?

Yes, definitely a Chipping Sparrow.
An American Tree Sparrow would have a rufous eyeline (same color as the cap), yellow lower mandible, and a redder back. They also usually have a dark central breast spot and buffy flanks.
