    Gull ID - Hamburg, Germany

    Can someone reconfirm the gull on the left? At first I thought it was a European Herring Gull like the one on the right, but then I noticed the grey back / winges been darker. Is this then another gull? or just another subspecies? Thanks for your comments.

    Sometimes I find Common Ringed Plovers in the lagoon near Wedel but in this case I have doubts. Could it be a Semipalmated Plover? Just missing the white supercilium.
