    I ended up getting the 10x40 SFL to replace it, which I found suited me better than the 10x32 SF! Never tried the NL 10x32 as I feel it is too heavy for a 32mm bin

    Yes, for me there was too much of an overlap to justify keeping both, and as the 8x25 was older and the 7x21 slightly better, I decided to sell it. I was having a bit of a rationalization of my collection, so the 8x25 was sold (along with my Zeiss 10x32 SF)

    Interesting, I've never seen really any CA with my pair. And as for DOF I think that comes with the territory with 7x bins. The 7x35 Retrovid has also a large DOF which, a bit contrary to you, I really like.

    If you are willing to accept something larger, then I would also look at the Swaro CL 8x30 and/or the Zeiss SFL 8x30. Both very light, and I can vouch for the CL being a nice binocular

    Have you tried a bin with very narrow eyecups? For example the Leica 7x35 "Retrovid"?? Otherwise I think eye shields are the only option you have unfortunately!

    I just took a look at my SFL 8x40 and compared it to another binocular (Swaro CL 8x30) and it terms of reflection from that outer ring it looks no better or no worse. On mine that ring has a semi-matt finish and does not really reflect any light to the extent that you suggest - see photo below...

    If it is correct that it does not have a diopter setting I suspect a lot of adults will have some problems using it, which is a shame. Maybe Swaro deliberately hamstrung it stop it interferring with sales of it's "adult'' binoculars?? ;););)

    With binoculars like the Curio and even the 8x25 CL I never use a neck strap, just a wrist strap intended for a compact camera
