Zeiss warranty service -- how good?

My central focus on my Conquest 8x30 that I had bought second hand had somehow become stuck so sent the bins into Zeiss. They sent me an email explaining that they had recieved the bins. Within a week I had them back with both focus wheels fixed and a general service! Excellent service all under...

    FZ38 Custom mode advice

Hi I am very new to photography. I would like to know on the 3 custom settings (C on the wheel) how to actually save these settings? I cant figure it out. 'Birder' or 'photographer' it is not in the interest of schedule 1 species to be advertised on this site especially at this time of the year. I know of at least one site last year where the chicks were taken prior to fledging. This was a site that was regulary featured on a local sightings...

    Online Bird Guide for iPod?

As per my above post and in reply to javva I've posted feedback on the apps site. I think this is a really useful product and have been hoping for something like on the iphone since I got it. However, I rushed in and was slightly dissappointed with the range of species. It needs to update to...

    Online Bird Guide for iPod?

I down loaded this app yesterday and on first looks it appears very good. Easy to navigate and scroll through. Birdguides have done a good job with this. Essentially it is a mini version of the BWP concise version. With both illustrations and text from the book. Calls are there for most species...

Just to add to the above. Whilst working a night shift in Torquay last night between 2200hrs and at least 0100hrs there were lots of Redwing calling overhead I counted 5 calls per minute as an average when I was able to.
