I've always loved wild life and enjoyed watching birds, but just recently I've found myself wanting to see, photograph and identify birds everytime I go out - I've even started a list of birds I've seen!
Yeh, I need help ha ha
Anyway, mainly joined up because I need help with any birds I see so I'll most probably will be posting in the identification forum for now - I know you guys like doing that as it can be just as fun as watching through a hide ;-)
I do use google to try and help identify birds, but so many images come up it can get a little bit confusing.
My favourite bird? I'd have to choose one I've seen in person rather than choose a bird of paradise or something like that, so it's definitely a Mandarin duck - saw this one (photo attached) on the Leeds-Liverpool canal by Melling in March.
Don't expect all my photos to be as clear as you guys know how hard it can be trying to snap a quick shot as a bird whizzes past.
My Canon compact has a long lens (30x) so it can take the odd good shot, but I'm looking at adding a longer lens to my Nikon D3200.
Last thing, I know my username is lame, but had to think quick ;-)
