Sony P10 to Pentax PF80 (1 Viewer)

I have enjoyed the Pentax PF80 for birding this past year. Since I do have a Sony P10 digital camera (3x zoom) and would like to attach that to the scope, I have a question on using either the William Optics DCL-28 or the DCL-4337 in between them. I do have a 37mm lens adapter for the P10. The specific question is whether to go with the DCL-4337 (a 40mm plossl) that will attach directly to the lens adapter, or go with the DCL-28 (a 24mm plossl) and use a step-up (28mm to 37mm) ring. Any obvious benefit to in attempting to use the higher power 24mm plossl versus any detriment in incorporating a step-up ring?

The magnification with the 40mm is too small for my like (~13X). The DCL-28 is a 24mm eyepiece (20X with the PF80). You will need a STEP DOWN ring rather than step up.
I like the DCL-28 a lot.
Jose.
