Pardon my utter newb-ism, but I am a new homeowner that has just set up a standard seed feeder and bird bath.
I live in Ohio and have only gotten black birds and sparrows to my feeder and bath. I've *seen* one cardinal on the power lines above and my neighbor had a blue jay today... but on to my question:
I get, 90% of the time, black birds. They drink from my bath, but also deposit white nasty stuff from their mouths in the bath. I don't think it is bird feces because it's more solid, plus they hold and release it from their mouth.
I couldn't find any returns via Google so I came here... what are these nasty birds doing to my bath? The moment I clean and refill the bath, they deposit more nasty white stuff.
If the answer isn't a complete no-brainer, I can post pics *yuck*.
Please advise.
Thanks.
