Major Stanley S. Flower (1 Viewer)

There is a good chance that Flower collect the specimen (as he was around 1919 in Egypt). The Hartert or Neumann descriptions refered by Nicoll seems to be no help. I am not sure if Neumann published again something about this topic in 1919.
 
I assume there was, it sure looks like it ... see, for example, here (see p. 24).

By the way there at least three mammal species from Africa that were named after Flower

Gerbillus (Gerbillus) floweri
Crocidura floweri
Eptesicus (Rhinopterus) floweri
