Finding an Ottoman Viper (1 Viewer)

We're off to Lesbos in a week's time. I know there won't be too much excitement on the birding front but I'd really love to see an Ottoman Viper. Can anyone give me any tips, either general or site-specific?
Thanks

Thanks Mario, very interesting papers. It seems that Vipera xanthina occurs almost anywhere on the island. I guess that careful searching early and later in the day will give us the best chance.
