extention tubes (1 Viewer)

Yes I have a few times. You lose a bit of light and also it won't focus on things at the furthest end of the range, but they work fine if you find your subjects are very approachable.

I used the Kenko ones, they do the job fine. You probably already know, but they contain no glass, so the image quality is the same whatever the make.

thanks i have kenko one is there any particular size you prefer

Yup! I use extension tubes quite a bit, mainly on my long lens to reduce minimum focus distance a bit. They are also handy, occasionally, on my 100-400 Mk2 and 100mm Macro. Additionally when used with my Pinhole lens they add 3 different focal lengths /fields of view.

They can be very handy, I have two sets - one for my big lens back pack and one for my general use backpack. For smaller lenses the El Cheapo plastic mount ones are fine and the have less play in the mount, for larger lenses I prefer the metal mount ones.
