Need Help Idenfiying Florida Bird (1 Viewer)

That's a male Anhinga (anhinga anhinga). Males have a black neck while females have light brown neck.

This birds are really common along the Florida State, and you can find lots of them at the Everglades also.

Since this black neck is rather coloured brown on the underside, I found it hard to make out the difference between the sexes.


Is in a case like this the area under the eye (orange colour extends below the eye in a male whereas it is a black pattern under the eye,contrastingwith the bill in a female) of any use?
