How to get to Abbassa and Wadi el Natrum, Egypt? (1 Viewer)

Apologies if this is against the rules, but I need this info ASAP, since I'm in Cairo right now with a couple of days left before I leave.

I'm looking for info on the sites at Abassa and Wadi el Natrum. Specifically, how do I get there from Cairo, can we walk around the sites alone, how do we explain to taxi drivers where exactly we want to go, are there any maps to/of the sites available online? I've tried to do my research, but I only see references to people visiting the sites, not how they got there? Thanks for any help!

See Rich Bonser's March 2006 trip report:

[Look under Painted Snipe for details of three birding sites around El 'Abbâsa. It's on the Ismâ'ilîya Agricultural Road, NE of Cairo, beyond Bilbeis.]

We followed Rich's excellent directions in May 2006, and had no problems birding those sites by taxi:

[Rich also gives brief directions for Wadi el Natrun - see under Kittlitz's Plover.]
