Hello,
I have a pair of Bushnell Custom 7x35 Binoculars with a J-B8 / J-E20 FPO code. They unfortunately have a very loose central hinge. Is there an easy way to tighten this hinge? I do see two holes in the front on the hinge where the Bushnell - Japan logo on the tripod mount is located. Can I use a small pin spanner to tighten the hinge in this manner? Or do I remove the cap on the hinge at the ocular end to find a method to tighten the hinge? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
My other pair (J-B8 / J-E55), which I've had for a couple of years now, have a nice tight hinge and they are really a joy to use. I keep them in my car always at hand for birding. Both pairs give superb clear sharp views. Not bad for $40.
Thanks,
John
