Actually have a couple I am stumped on but I'll go with this one first. About the size of a Blue Dasher but stockier. I've gone through two i.d. guides and cannot find. Any clues will be appreciated.

Thanks Andrew. I'm telling you, identifying these guys can be just as tricky as the warblers in the Fall.
 
Luckily I have been told there not not too many to learn in Britain. I am armed with a good book and have identified one or two so far. I hope someone identifies this one soon.
 
The more I look at this one, the more I think it is a female Blue Dasher in a phase that I have never seen before.
