Posting for a friend appreciate ID of this bird that was eating berries near Kaunos SW Turkey. Not a very clear photo I'm afraid.

Perhaps Rock or Eastern Rock Nuthatch?

Possible I suppose, i was thinking it had a black cap but now you mention nuthatch I suppose the angle could be just showing the eye stripe. They are found in the locality.

In Dalyan, Rock would be a prime choice on distribution, no? And how could this species resist a food source like this?

Would say Western Rock Nuthatch- I couldn't see the black strip on the neck.
It should be resident breeder in SW turkey?
