What's wrong with this Goldfinch? (1 Viewer)

Saw this bird on the feeder a while back but thought it was just a bit bedraggled or had had a problem with a predator. However it's back at the feeder today in exactly the same state. I didn't get a photo today, but attached is the one from the first time I saw it. It flies OK and has clearly survived for at least 3 weeks in this state. Any ideas?

It's hard to tell because it looks like it's been raining and that always makes a bird look worse :p But if you've seen it like that again, I'd say it would have to be sick.
