I had to change my GMail password the other day, and since then Thunderbird won't let me download or send e-mails without first putting in my password.

I've searched several times in Thunderbird but cannot find out to change it from the one held there. I found where the passwords are listed, but there doesn't seem to be an option to change in there.

There must be a way.

I think you want this, Delia:

From the Main Menu - Tools->Options : then click the Security tab - then the Passwords tab - then Saved Passwords button

I think that's right ;)

Thanks Chris. Been there LOL!! It certainly shows the passwords, but I can't find an option to change/edit one.

Interestingly, I've just gone to look again, and the old one I had for GMail has now disappeared. I can't find an option to add a password for that account.

I'm doing three things at once ATM, Delia; so I might mess one of them up (Lets hope it's not the Brain Surgery ;) )

Do Get Mail for your account, and the password prompt should show; you should have the option to save it then, as there's none saved

Oh right... thanks Chris, I'll look for that next time the box comes up as it seems to be OK for the day once I've entered it.

:-o

Very strange... wonder why that smilie doesn't work when this one does

o:)
