Hi Folks

I have a new lens on the way,Have a few good canon L lenses,I need another camera body, was thinking of Canon 50D,to be used with my 400mm F 5.6 Prime lens for birding.

Has anyone used the Canon 50 D for bird photography?what is it like?or should I buy a second hand 40D,there is not a lot difference in price.

Look forward to hearing your experince with this lens.

Cheers A14

50D's a good solid body and many birders are using it and it's specs are just better enough to make it more worthwhile than the 40D.

Yet if you could stretch your budget to a 7D that seems to be very much the in vogue birder's camera at present.
