Learning To Fly (1 Viewer)

On my way back from the library this afternoon I saw something falling from a tree out of the corner of my eye...a young house sparrow! I was a little surprised, but then I saw at least 5 other young house sparrows huddling near the corner of a building, so I ran back to the dorm to get my camera. By the time I got back the huddle had broken up and a couple of the young sparrows could fly rather well, but a few could only manage a meter or so in distance, with mom and dad nearby the whole time. This is the first time I've seen baby birds learning to fly, and it made my day! What a nice study break right before finals.
