Good morning all,
I'm looking to make a few nest boxes for this spring, and I'd like to just use up some excess material I have laying around the house.
I have a lot of 1/2" particle board with while enamel finish that I would otherwise get rid of. Any issues using this for nest boxes? I imagine I would have to rough up the interior a bit with some heavy grit sandpaper and paint the exterior a neutral color. Long-term durability might be a problem, but I'm moving a 18 months and I don't know if my landlord will keep them up after I leave anyway.
I'll probably just use the generic plans on BTrg.
Thoughts? Thanks.
