What flycatcher sound is this? Upstate NY (1 Viewer)

There is a car going by in the middle but there are several calls on both ends of the audio. You might need to turn up the volume to hear it.

I am sure it is a Flycatcher, and I am pretty sure on what flycatcher it is but I want confirmation.

Did you consider Acadian Flycatcher? To me it sounds like Acadian. I listened to this recording side by side with Acadian and it sound the same. I hear Alder all the time and this sounded at a bit different. I'm not sure either way. Some of the Alder sounds I listened sounded somewhat similar.
 
I hear an Eastern Phoebe and a House Wren (and several cars). What kind of habitat was this bird in?

It was along a road on edge of a yard and woods. Yeah, I think you are right about Phoebe. I got another response that indicated Phoebe as well. Apparently this one was only making the first part of its usual song. It's always the commonest, most familiar birds that confuse. For some reason I was stuck on Empidonax so I was not thinking of Phoebe and I was trying to make an Empidonax fit.
