Greylag Geese on Speyside (1 Viewer)

Having just returned from a few days staying at Nethybridge, we saw quite a few Greylag Geese feeding in the fields up there. We were wondering the origin of these birds as there seemed to be quite a few in the area. Genuine migrants or just feral?

Also on Sunday 19th, while heading out of Nethybridge to Findhorn, we had c500 Pinkies flying over in small skeins all heading south. Now there was a few heavy showers in the area, but did these geese come from the Inverness area maybe and where do you think they were heading to?

Could well be both at this time of year; Icelandic Greylags winter there, but there's also a local reintroduced breeding population. Unless you see colour-ringed birds, distinguishing them is impossible.
