OK, I admit, this is going to sound really trivial.....but, hey, I'm not with it at all........
I'm looking to buy a mid-range video camera. Do I get an analog one, or a digital one? Presumably the future is digital, but I'd need a few video tapes first, so I have a huge dilemma. For example, Digital Video Cameras.....can I, or how can I, get VCR cassettes by recording from a digital video camera?Following on from that, which camera would be best?
I'd really appreciate any help at all, as I have absolutely no idea!!! :stuck:

Go Digital...

It gives you the flexibility to either record/download the video to a computer for editing then burning to CD or DVD, or to hook the camera upto a VCR to record from the tape onto video.

Just for info her's what I use:-

Camera:
Panasonic mini DV (can't remember the model)

Computer:
Athon 1.5G processor
256MB RAM
40GIG hard drive
Firewire port (for connecting the camera to the computer)
CD writter (for burning SVCD's)
Pinnacle Studio 8 (video editing software)

The camera and computer are pritty simple and basic, but are fine for me.
