Not Another Goldfinch!

Here is another Goldfinch, I liked this one so it is my second entry and I hope it qualifies as a perched bird. I was not sure if it had to be perched on a twig or it could be on anything. It is on a peanut block cage.

Location : My garden.
Date : 11th April 2003
Gear : Nikon 4500 & Swaro ATS65
Weather : Cloudy I think.
Setting : Mid zoom on scope and Macro setting on camera.

April Comp: Dartford Warbler

Dartford Warbler taken at Dunwich Heath in Suffolk. A mighty challenge for a digiscoper, they're a bit like Seals in the sea.... they pop a head out of the heather for a very quick look-a-round then dive down into cover and then pop-up again in a totally different place a few minutes later.

Greenfinch on Ramanas Rose

Another try at an unadulterated photo!
One of the many Greenfinches that come every day to the giant black sunflower feeder. They have to wait their turn, the feeder only has 16 ports!, and that is a good time to take a shot at one.
The light was beautiful, hence the warm colours.
The photo has been cropped and USM applied in PS

An Essex bird

I had to go to Ros' family in Essex over the weekend. I did absolutely no birding with the exception of taking the odd one or two shots of Starlings and Sparrows in her sisters garden. It was early morning on April 13th when this photo was taken. The low sun gave a warm look to the Starlings colours.

Equipment used.
Nikon Coolpix 990. Kowa 824 with a 32x WA eyepice. Full 3x optical zoom used as bird was about 50 or so yards away.
