Our discussions at home continually swing between Brewer's & Clay-coloured.

I agree with rkj. The gray nape could sway one towards Clay-colored, but at that date (11 May) Clay-colored's breeding plumage and bolder patterns are much different than Brewer's. This one fits a breeding plumage Brewer's well.
