What would be the minimum pond size preferred by American bullfrogs?

I'm aware that they can be big amphibians (6-8"), but they seem to be adaptable, and I've read from other people's experiences that these frogs can colonize surprisingly small freshwater bodies.

I've also read, though, that they rarely stick around backyard ponds and often move on after a while.

And aside from pond size, do they have any other differing preferences from other frogs? I've heard that they coexist well with fish (unlike other species) and even eat goldfish on occasion.

What's the smallest body of water that bullfrogs can live in?
(I'm aware that bullfrogs are widely distributed around the world, but where we live, they aren't invasive.)

Are there any other specific preferences, other than pond size?

Any input, especially from experience, would be appreciated.
