Balancing Birding Near Shimla, HP?
We're making a four day weekend, based out of a hotel in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. At least one full day will be dedicated to seeing the historical and cultural stuff and I'm not sure what else. My wife enjoys a little birding, but whole days or birding dominated itineraries aren't (yet) really an option.
So, I'm looking for any suggestions within a few hours of Shimla or in between there and Delhi that might be good spots to do some birding. Planning this trip on VERY short notice, so barely over a week away. Lakes? Ponds? Wetland areas?
Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.
