Behavior Question (1 Viewer)

Today I took my grand daughter to Brazos Bend SP in Texas. We had a great day, lots of alligators and vultures. I saw a Ruby-crowned Kinglet feeding from a Bald Cypress tree and he stopped for a photo. When I got the file up on the computer, I saw this silk thread blowing away from his beak.

I think he caught a "ballooning" baby spider but I am not sure. Any birders out there who have seen this behavior happening?
