Biebrza & Bialowieza - Permits (1 Viewer)

I have a copy of Gosney's 'Finding Birds in Eastern Poland' which mentions permits are required to visit Biebrza and Bialowieza National Parks but this book dates from 2015/16 so I wondered if a local or someone who has birded there recently could tell me if this is still the case.

Just Googling it suggests very reasonably priced permits (walking) are required as are tour guides.....it seems one is mandatory nowadays and needs to be booked before you enter. I'm sure someone with recent experience will add some suggestions.
