Bird Call ID Help, Please - SW Ohio (1 Viewer)

Hi,
First post on this forum. I’m trying to identify these birds that I have heard for at least the last 3 years around this time of the year. These recordings were taken at dusk on 10/22/20 from a 1 acre pond in SW Ohio, USA. I don’t hear them during the day. It sounded like there was probably a group of around a dozen birds, but hard to say for certain. I saw the silhouette of 5 or 6 mallard-sized ducks come in to land right before I made the recordings, but the calls were coming from the pond before and after the new arrivals. The area is surrounded by farmland and near 60 acres of woods. There is a creek nearby, and a major river 4 miles away. I could not see the birds due to cattails obscuring the view.

Thanks for your help!
