Agree with him to recognise the Ibon in its own family. It's a very old lineageDon Roberson: Bird Families of the World, 17th edition

If this LeCroy saw the time-scale of Hypocryptadius, she would completely change her mind 😏😏I like the LeCroy position:
"should be retained in a monotypic subfamily, Hypocryptadiinae Hachisuka, 1930"
Types of AMNH 2011.
Not really easy to guess with the last name alone 🧐It is 2021 and so of course I no longer perceive gender but I believe Mary LeCroy identified as a she.
Great gender discussion guys! I'm assuming you're both male? 🤣🤣🤣Not really easy to guess with the last name alone 🧐
Or write Ibon phylogeny on Google images and see 😏For the sake of those of us less knowledgeable what is the LeCroy position?
And in which paper or papers can we find the divergence time estimate between Ibon and Sparrows?
Ta!Or write Ibon phylogeny on Google images and see 😏
Aye I could've done that but I wanted to make sure anyone reading the thread had direct links etc.
Why not Alcippe ?Have any better English names been suggested for Alcippeidae? I certainly can't come up with anything.
There are several misspellings on this websiteOn the Sylvids page, for Cypress Warbler read Cyprus Warbler!
It would be cool if he could add checklist to his website.I've passed the typos/errors mentioned in this thread on to Don. He said he's always happy to receive any other suggestions for corrections - his contact details are on the website.
