Bird identification? (2 Viewers)

I saw a pair of birds today about two or three times the size of a black capped chickadee. One was a tawny color and the other was an orangeish color. They both had black heads and saddles. Their wings were black with white speckling on the top. The bottom of the wings were white with a bold black stripe. They had goggle markings that were the same as their base color. The looked similar to finches but a bit rounder, the beak was a bit longer and their tails were longer and narrower.
