I was photographing waders at RSPB Saltholme this afternoon when a bird of prey sent up hundreds of Wigeon. Peregrine and Merlin common here - any ideas from the rubbish photos? It happened so quickly I didn't have a chance to change the settings! Tried to catch the Wigeon in flight and ended up with a very blurry BoP.

I think the bird in the photo's is actually a Stock dove could well have been a Peregrine or Merlin that put the birds up though.
