We are now on year 4 on our box, all 4 years including the current nest that was just started have been successful. Im considering putting a barn owl box close to the tree line. Does anybody know or think this may disrupt the nesting. It is also important to note that when the babies 1st leave the box they head to the woods in the picture. Im just trying to find a natural predator to blackbirds, they love my garden tomatoes. But my bluebird box is farrr more important.

Hi there and a warm welcome to you from those of us on staff here at BirdForum (y)
We're glad you found us and please join in wherever you like. ;)

I don't know for sure but I do think the Bluebirds would consider an Owl a predator and would shy away from nesting with Owls around.
