On a wet under foot morning, I arrived at the reserve with my best mate Poppi in tow at 06.45am still dark.
Avery quiet start and not much around but stuck with it and eventually not a bad morning over the reserve bird species wise.

NO Little Egret this morning on Bumble Pool.
Canada goose all on Bumble Pool first thing.
Ring necked parakeets by chimney flying around eventually went down towards visitor centre.
REDWINGS X5 are here seen from Bench by Bumble Pool not the one by the viewing point the other
2 very late SWALLOWS along canal by Fox and Goose bridge.

Species seen this morning were –
Kingfisher, Canada goose, Mallard, Moorhen, Coot, Lesser black backed gull, Magpie, Carrion crow, Grey wagtail, Black headed gull, Blue tit, Robin, Swallow, Goldfinch, Blackbird, Great tit, Greenfinch, Dunnock, Long tailed tit, Song thrush, Ring necked parakeet, Pied wagtail, Grey heron, Jay, Chaffinch, Wren, Mistle thrush, Jackdaw, Redwing & House sparrow

Very good with the Redwings, they would certainly be early statistically for me - take the Dog out about 10pm last thing and haven't had a peep although 2 Tawny Owls adjacent to the house early hours this week have been nice.

Good birding -

Peregrine Falcon over garden today, A second bird of prey large in size and dark not a Buzzard was being terrorised by Black Headed Gulls but I couldn't make out the species.

There are dark abberants altho I must say if anything I see pale birds from time to time. There were a group of 4 over at the West Hagley Fields for a few years - they must have been from the same brood with one in particular almost approaching albino. If it's Buzzard-sized and Buzzard-shaped then it's probably.......... A picture would clinch it if it's not an exotic falconer's escape.

Good birding -
