Bushnell Custom Compact 6x25 - diopter adjustment? (1 Viewer)

How does one adjust the diopter on a Bushnell Custom Compact 6x25 ?

I recently acquired one & tried twisting the base area of the rubber eyecup, and also tried the metal band just adjacent.

I have never used this model, & maybe I just don't know exactly what to grip/twist.

Here is a pic, with the numeric scale apparently showing as set at 0 diopter.

On mine, the eyecup is rubber - directly above the diopter indicator window (why is it on the left side??) grasp the rubber eyecup at it's base on the left side and it should turn about 1/2 turn from one adjust stop to the other. Nice bino's by the way. Pat
