Hi,

I want a camera with a zoom for wildlife and bird photography and have a budget of 8,000.00 MAD (=600.00 GBP = 723.00 EUR = 916.00 USD) I used www.xe.com for conversion), what do you think about the money? If enough, what do you recommend? With many thinks in advance.

I love my Canon SX30IS, but I've seen pics that say that the replacement SX40IS is better, especially in low light.

It is a camera that has good enough image stabilisation to use 35* optical zoom hand held, with good results, but can also go down to close macro within seconds.

I agree with David that your best bet is the superzoom section of the market. In addition to the Canon, there are good offerings from Panasonic (FZ150) and Fuji. You would need to research what the local price you would pay would be (local duty and tax, etc.), but I think you have enough for that type of camera.

Thanks both; I will look for these suggestions. I will see Canon first as it has a good presence in Morocco.
