Does anyone know whether the October 2011 Shrike at RSPB Cliffe Pools was accepted as Daurian (isabellinus) or Turkestan (phoenicuroides). Thanks in advance for any help.

Yeah it wasn’t. Apparently although hybridisation is rare, its markings were considered bold for Daurian. Personally think it was just a cracking male Daurian.

stunning bird that was!
