Doubts with a gull from Rialto Beach, Washington USA (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I have doubts with a gull that I saw last august in Rialto Beach, Olympic NP, last august 8th. My first idea when I saw it was a glaucous-winged gull, but now I see the dark relatively dark, and I am doubting with a western gull, although I do not see the wing tips too dark.

Can anybody give me his/her opinion.

a bit hard to tell from this image since dark parts of primaries are not visible from above. it is very likely an 'Olympic Gull' (hybrid occidentalis x galucescens) as most large gulls are in that area. Impression of head and bill is more Glaucous-winged like but large male Western could match it - so, very likely Olympic.
