Ducks: I just saw two male Wood Ducks do mutual preening, allopreening, but they were both males. They stood together on a rock. Two male Wood Ducks (1 Viewer)

I saw two male Wood Ducks standing on a rock in my pond doing mutual preening, but just the two males. Any trying up on the rock were run off. They simultaneously preened each others' neck and head, and it went on and on. It looked like a human kissing, just slight swivel of the hear and then they would take turns doing just one of them. It was not even the preening you normally see. These were actually just the very softest of touches. Is this common in Wood Ducks. I am just sending a couple of photos but I have close to 30 if anyone wants to see more. Thank you.
