Hi all,

We have some unidentified birds from our visit to Ecuador last year. All of them are from November 2018. Does anyone know what they are?

Thanks,

Paul and Catheryn

1. One-coloured Becard
2. I'll get back to you!
3. agree with Andy, Shiny Cowbird
4. agree with Andy, Black Phoebe
5. American Kestrel

For the hummingbird the tail appears simply too long for a Metaltail. My thought tends towards Green-tailed Trainbearer male with incomplete tail. The other option color-wise would be a Long-tailed Sylph mail with an incomplete tail but the Sylphs generally have a more sloped forehead. Even allowing for raised feathers, I think I tend more towards Green-tailed Trainbearer.
