Eos 1D mk4 AF point selection (1 Viewer)

I can't see any info regarding it but is it possible to select a larger centre 'cluster' of AF points on the 1D mk4 other than just opting for the centre one and selecting the option of surrounding points ?
I must admit I like the ability on the 7D to select a centre group of 9 points but cannot see a way to replicate this on the 1D mk 4 at present.
I have to say I do prefer to see all the selected points highlighted through the viewfinder (as per 7D) as opposed to just the centre being shown and 'thinking' you have the surrounding points also selected as an option.
I generally like to use centre point AF where possible but on occasion would like to select a larger group than just the one with surrounding points but without having to resort to 'all AF points'.
I would appreciate any feedback concerning if this is possible on the 1D mk4.

Thanks

The 1D mark IV does not have the zone focusing found on the 7D, though it possible to add in the assist points to help with tracking.

That is under the custom menu.
